National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women
The National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women is a nonprofit organization that serves as “a resource and advocacy center for battered women charged with crimes related to their battering.” They assist women who have assaulted or killed their abuser while defending themselves, women who were coerced into committing a crime by their abuser, women who were charged with “failing to protect” their children from their abuser, and women who were charged with “parental kidnapping” after fleeing their abuser.
